Lewis & Hickey have been an integral part of the master planning and design processes at Churchers College for many years now. In 2002 we were commissioned to build a new science department with laboratories, class rooms, a lecture theatre, and a cloister that would provide cover for children moving between classes.

The new building is designed to allow natural ventilation through the raised first floor windows which are louvered to the rear and sides. The design also makes reference to the rest of the school’s Victorian architecture with symbols from the existing building’s towers incorporated into the modern context of the new building.
