An
industrial buildings primary function is to be practical and robust.
This does not mean however that it cannot look good. Many 'industrial'
product designs adopted a 'form follows function' approach and as such,
items such as Aga cookers, Levi jeans and the VW Beetle have all become
design classics.
We at Lewis & Hickey believe industrial buildings should be practical, efficient, robust and flexible, but still visually pleasing. These criteria are not mutually exclusive and we have designed numerous buildings that achieve both. |
