A CELEBRATION OF OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH MARKS & SPENCER
This month we’re looking back at our long-standing connection with retailer Marks & Spencer; a relationship which started in 1922 and has continued to flourish since.
Over the past 95 years, we’ve worked with M&S to design and deliver numerous head office projects, literally thousands of stores and warehouses, staff facilities as well as undertaking a number of design and research projects.
The Orchard House store was, at the time, regarded as one of the most efficient and successful retail units anywhere in the world, a fact which was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records™. This store is now known as Marble Arch.
Many of these prestigious stores, such as Marble Arch and Oxford Street Pantheon, remain operational today, having benefitted from modernisation and extensions to enhance and expand the shop floor. Our work with M&S has resulted in numerous innovations and ‘firsts’ in UK retail stores, and some of the designs we produced over the years have acted as trendsetters for M&S’s retail thinking.
Our relationship with M&S is as zealous as ever, and we are delighted to continue working with them to design and deliver excellent retail environments across the country.
