The second residential phase of the Watford Riverwell project has been submitted for planning.
Known as Waterside due its adjacency to the River Colne, the second residential phase of the Watford Riverwell regeneration project features three apartment buildings with a cumulative total of just over 400 units. The three residential buildings will include homes for private sale, as well as affordable housing. Waterside also includes plans for a retirement village that will be delivered by Mayfield Villages, comprising 250 one and two-bedroom apartments for the over 55s with in house care provisions spread between two buildings.
The five accommodation buildings are set within generous river fronting landscaping, and have access to a number of new and existing public open spaces in the vicinity, ensuring that the Watford Riverwell concept of ‘wellbeing’ is promoted and encouraged across the entire site.
A decision on the planning application is expected in 2018.
Combining Waterside and the first residential Phase Woodlands (which received planning permission in July 2017) Lewis & Hickey have now designed over 500 residential homes for the Watford Riverside development.
