L&H were commissioned to undertake the complete re-configuration and refurbishment of this faded Bayswater Hotel. We designed from the basement to the top taking out walls and adjusting floors to create new lobby spaces and new larger bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. New lightwells into the basement rooms were created and a new glazed bridge link to the adjoining hotel to the rear. All fire analysis, acoustic separation, room layouts and specifications were carried out and including interior visualisations, detailing for fixed fittings and furniture layouts.
Full construction detailing was provided for a traditional building contract. L&H also carried out the indicative electrical layouts. This has been a very successful refurbishment and the Mercure Hotel is now a thriving and popular London destination to international travelers.
