Following the ongoing popularity and success of the Indian Tiffin Room in First Street, Manchester; ITR´s subsequent venture in Leeds provided opportunity for a twist on the signature brand.
“Taking the street indoors” remains the consistent baseline, however Leeds was no copy and paste! Located within a Grade II Listed former bank building on the eminent and historic Park Row, the concept was developed with a more historic approach than First Street, creating a fairly unique hybrid style which harks back to the colonial architecture within India.
The use of reclaimed Indian shutters, wagon wheels and doors adorn the walls to provide hints from its Manchester project; while the lavish scalloped shaped arches aim to give people a vibrant and luxurious dining experience.
Raising the perimeter on the dining area allows guests to interact with the street and provides a strong internal dynamic. Bringing the streets of India into a 19th century bank to create a modern restaurant proves to be a compelling recipe!
