Carol graduated from Edinburgh’s Napier University in 1990 with a BA degree in Interior Design. With over 25 years’ experience, she has spent the last 18 years in a client-facing role.
Her career started out working for architects as an Interior Designer/Architectural Assistant and ultimately specialising in workspace design. Carol spent 4 years designing call centres, where her flagship concept for the new NHS 24 service, formed in 2001, won two major industry awards; European Call centre Award: Best Office Environment and the BCO Award: Best Fit-Out of Workplace for Scotland.
The last 12 years have seen Carol more closely involved with workplace design with clients such as Aberdeen Asset Management, RBS, Mellonbank and First State Investments as well as retail and leisure clients, Black & Lizars, Eteaket, Lancers Brasserie and Voujon.
She enjoys the process of design the most and as well as being well versed in concepts and detailing, Carol’s other skills include space planning & analysis, moves management and she has a keen interest in design psychology.
When she isn’t working, Carol enjoys painting, jewellery making, travelling, live music, anything cat related and is also a listening volunteer for a well-known charity.
