Lionel is an ambitious, hard-working and punctual part 2 assistant architect, with a passion for architectural problem solving and does so creatively and efficiently.
Since joining Lewis & Hickey Architects in September 2015, Lionel has been involved in the design of a range of projects including retail, residential and community. Lionel is currently running predominantly international and local commercial projects.
He obtained a Masters of Architecture degree at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2013. During his university studies, Lionel developed a high sensitivity to regenerative public architectural spaces and planning. His final thesis research work was about the rejuvenation of dilapidated architecture and its surroundings by the correct utilisation of commercial active public space to do so.
When not working in the office Lionel remains creative by sketching, playing guitar and enjoys keeping fit as well as socialising with friends. He is highly interested in property development and has recently enrolled to do a further master’s degree in this field.
