Phase Two of our Cameron Smail Library refurbishment for Heriot Watt University, is now complete. This most recent phase of works sees the main reception area and service desk handed over along with the new staff offices. The remainder of the principle entrance floor will be completed during Phase Three of the works.
The ‘Library’ signage features naturally preserved Nordik Moss from a sustainable resource which is then treated to preserve it using a natural mineral process.
This four-storey 're-imagining' seeks to transform the Library into an environment that caters for the needs of students today and in the future. Variety and flexibility of the study spaces allows students to choose how they study and interact with other students.
The project is being delivered over five phases and is due for completion in autumn 2019.
