The design and development of the Arab Banks private banking offer (AB Private Bank) presented an opportunity to raise the brand perception and promote exclusivity to its customers.
Always entered from a dedicated point (not from a retail banking environment), the reception uses luxury wenge timber, copper strips, mirrors and accent lighting to create a strong first impression. These elements were selected to become synonymous with the brand and are featured throughout the interior.
Branded carpet is used in the reception and corridors with an incorporated accent line and logo that enforces the brand and simple plinths are used to display white busts in a design ‘twist’ that combines the old and the new.
Past the reception, bespoke furniture and ceiling details combine to add interest and their construction also provides function. For example, construction of the consultation entrance door modules house refreshment facilities, cloak storage and provide storage for a foldaway wenge finished partition wall system. The door numbering and entry system on these modules are also a bespoke element and specific to the brand.
As part of the concept in the lounge area a feature marquetry flooring circle was installed. The design, the setting out and the pattern details for this were provided as part of the design process and this feature provides a luxury ‘on-brand’ floor solution.
